Zipper pull and snaps and buttons

On October 1, YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd, a group company of YKK Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichi Matsushima; hereafter, YKK) launched a production line for snaps and buttons at the YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. Dong Van Factory (formerly the Ha Nam Factory).

In many types of clothing such as sportswear, outdoor gear, and casual wear, not only zippers but also snap buttons are used. This production will enable YKK to offer zippers, as well as snaps and buttons, to customers in Vietnam –including global brands – alongside existing proposals, whilst also delivering products more swiftly.

In January 2024, YKK Vietnam's Dong Van Plant (Phase 2) was completed. The facility has been recognized for its environmentally conscious initiatives, including the procurement of electricity through solar power generation systems, installation of high-efficiency lighting and EV stations, as well as the introduction of wastewater recycling facilities and the preservation of green spaces that consider biodiversity. As a result of these efforts, the plant has obtained LEED Silver certification1 – a rating under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system.
