　YKK Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichi Matsushima; hereafter, YKK) and the Kansai Medical University Educational Corporation (Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Tatsuo Kinashi; hereafter, Kansai Medical University) have begun working on joint research in the field of oral health care, and the content of the project will be released as a video message at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

Kansai Medical University is one of Japan's leading medical universities, contributing to society through the promotion of unique cutting-edge research and practical training in clinical settings under a world-class educational environment. On this occasion, organizations from differing fields have come together, based on their shared awareness of health as the axis of wealth, to begin joint research.

　In this joint research project, given recent findings which have indicated a link between systemic diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and myocardial infarctions, and one’s oral environment, YKK has commenced working with Giuseppe Pezzotti–Distinguished Professor Appointed by the University President (Center Director) at the Kansai Medical University Biomedical Engineering Center, Distinguished Professor & Director–to conduct research and development on oral health care as a form of preventive medicine for maintaining a healthy body. The content of the project will be summarized in a video message and released at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
