Prototypes for the YKK AP® emergency unit were used as medical tents in refugee camps in Jordan on the boarder of Iraq during the Iraq War. These tents have been further refined to bring greater convenience so that people afflicted by disasters such as earthquakes can have as comfortable a place as possible. These emergency units are easy to assemble because they are air domes. Packing up is also made easy by folding up the light-weight emergency unit. Several tents can be connected with special fasteners as well to create a larger room unlike anything before. The doors and windows form a complete seal to defend against elements such as the cold and sand outside from getting inside.
